UKSEDS Hub Code of Conduct

Welcome to the UKSEDS Hub! Here are 5 rules or "Code of Conduct" to engage well with everyone:

Be Inclusive.

We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, and mental and physical abilities.

Be nice.

Always be friendly and kind to others. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior are not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Threats of violence
• Insubordination
• Discriminatory, excessive, or inappropriate jokes and language
• Sharing sexually explicit or violent material
• Personal insults, especially those using racist or sexist terms
• Unwelcome sexual attention
• Posting other members’ personal information
• Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviours.



Be respectful.

As a common public space, please be respectful to others and avoid:

• Spamming, including messages, images, @mentions, and loud/obnoxious noises in voice channels.
• Sending/linking any harmful material such as viruses, IP grabbers or harmware is strictly prohibited.



Be helpful.

This community exists to help all who are passionate or are curious about space to learn and grow. Be helpful and encouraging to others. Share any useful resources found and contribute to any interesting discussions. Advertising or promoting your business is prohibited. Please also limit personal promotion: linking to relevant social media accounts/blogs/articles is welcome but do not do this excessively.
