A Space for Black Voices is a webinar taking place during Black History Month 25th October 2024, from 6pm to 8pm. This will be a virtual panel event featuring 3 Black professionals working within the space industry. Panelists will discuss how they got to where they are now, their work and projects, and their experiences within the space sector. This will be hosted by the UKSEDS Diversity & Advocacy Team, who will also be accepting questions from viewers.

Speakers include:
Advenit Makaya: Advanced manufacturing engineer working at the European Space Agency, also featured in Torsten Hoffmann's documentary Fortitude - Forging the Trillion Dollar Space Economy.
Lily Asongfac: Founder and Educator at Youths for Sustainable Space Development. Recognised as a 2024 Emerging Space Leader by the International Astronautical Federation and one of the '2024 Women Engineers You Should Know' by the USA Society of Women Engineers.
